Since 1985 the Rotary Club of Nantucket has provided a pancake and sausage breakfast on Mother's Day as a way to honor Mothers and also to raise some funds. Since then we have served anywhere from 400 to 550 breakfasts each year. In 2008 the event was expanded to a buffet at the suggestion of Bill Puder, owner of the Faregrounds Restaurant.

In 2008 the traditional Pancake Breakfast became a Breakfast Buffet with approximately 500 people attending.  Proceeds benefit the Scholarship Fund and other important local projects.
