The Rotary Club of Nantucket has sponsored two major fundraising events, Ms Mantucket and beginning in 2008, the Blazing Paddles auction, to increase the scholarship dollars provided annually to Nantucket graduates. Due to the success of these events the Rotary Club of Nantucket provided $40,000.00 in multi-year scholarships to graduates of the Class of 2008 and 2009.

This would never have happened without the time, energy, and financial support of so many people. Countless volunteers spent many hours organizing both events; numerous  sponsors generously made a financial commitment; countless businesses donated valuable items for our auction; and of course it would not be successful without the community response whose attendance and participation made it financially successful and just as importantly, a lot of fun for everyone.
