Community Service Projects - Various

The Rotary Club of Nantucket has a variety of community service projects that include: the Fuel Assistance Program (H. Flint Ranney and Bob Burton); Meals on Wheels ( John Stover); 100 year Tree Planting Project (Anne Mendelson and Jim Perelman); the Reduction of Tick Borne Diseases (David Boyce, Jean Grimmer and Dual Macintyre); and Monthly collections for the Nantucket Food Pantry (all members).

Public Relations – Peter Greenhalgh, Chairperson

The Public Relations Committee is charged with the production of the clubs weekly newsletter, developing its website, designing and producing a brochure, and all media coverage for the club, including pertinent press releases, advertising and posters.

Rotary Foundation – Bill Jones, Chairman

The Rotary Foundation Committee is charged with educating and keeping members informed about the Rotary Foundation and ways the Rotary Club of Nantucket can contribute to the Foundation.

Membership – Mike Burns, Chairman

The Membership Committee is charged with membership, recruiting new members, refining the membership application process and maintaining current members.

Interact Club- Nantucket High School - Kate O'Connor, Chairman

The Club was formed from eight students in 2009 and has grown to 21 members of NHS students. They have raised over $1,000 to contribuute a Shelter Box to the Haiti relief effort.  A Mother's Day Walk benefited Partners in Health.  The Interact Club organized a beach clean up at Madaket Beach this Spring.

Rotary Rotary - Dual Macintyre and Jean Grimmer, Co-chairmen

Planting, weeding, and maintenance of the good-looking Milestone Rotary is one of our continuing projects.
